Whether you're feeling called to birth work, looking for a meaningful career change, or ready to turn your passion for supporting families into a profession, the Doulas of the Diaspora Doula Certificate Program will give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to begin your journey.

This live, small-group, six-week online training is designed to prepare you to support families throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period while equipping you with the practical tools to launch your own doula practice. You'll receive comprehensive, evidence-based education in childbirth, labor support, comfort measures, communication, advocacy, breastfeeding, newborn care, and the business of being a doula—including pricing your services, attracting clients, MassHealth provider enrollment, and navigating insurance reimbursement. Upon successful completion, you'll receive your Doula Certificate, qualifying you to begin practicing as a professional birth doula.

As a doula, you'll have the privilege of walking alongside families during one of the most transformative experiences of their lives. You'll provide emotional, physical, and informational support, help clients navigate their options with confidence, foster positive communication between families and their healthcare team, and create a calm, empowering presence throughout the birth journey. Whether you plan to build your own private practice, work within your community, or continue into the DoD Doula Diploma Program for advanced mentorship and hands-on apprenticeship, this course provides the foundation to begin making a meaningful impact from day one.
