Biography:
As a calm, compassionate, and nurturing doula, I am deeply committed to supporting families through the transformative journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My own experiences with infertility and becoming a stepmother have shaped the way I care for others, giving me a deep understanding of the emotional complexities that can come with building a family. Being naturally shy has taught me the importance of listening with intention, creating safe spaces, and offering gentle, steady support that helps families feel truly seen and heard. I am passionate about fostering confidence, encouraging informed decision-making, and providing family-centered care that empowers parents throughout every stage of their journey. It is truly a privilege to walk alongside families as they welcome their babies and begin one of life’s most meaningful transitions into parenthood.
Why did you become a doula?
I became a doula because of my own journey through PCOS, infertility, and the heartbreak of experiencing two pregnancy losses. Those experiences changed me deeply and gave me firsthand understanding of the fear, anxiety, grief, and uncertainty that can come with trying to conceive, being pregnant, and navigating birth after loss. I know what it feels like to long for reassurance, to carry both hope and worry at the same time, and to want someone beside you who truly understands how emotionally complex this journey can be. Becoming a doula felt like a natural way to turn those experiences into meaningful support for others. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, informed, and never alone — whether they are navigating infertility, pregnancy after loss, a straightforward pregnancy, or a birth experience filled with unknowns. I bring empathy to this work not just from training, but from lived experience, and I feel honored to walk alongside families during such vulnerable and transformative moments in their lives.
What is your personal connection to birth/family/community?
My connection to birth work is deeply personal. Through my own experiences with infertility, pregnancy loss, and pregnancy after loss, I came to understand just how important support, compassion, and community truly are during these life-changing moments. I believe birth and family are meant to be held with care, understanding, and connection, and that no one should have to navigate these experiences feeling alone. Supporting families during such vulnerable and transformative seasons has become incredibly meaningful to me, and I feel honored to be part of the community that helps people feel seen, supported, and empowered as they grow their families. I’m also passionate about helping families connect with community resources and finding support systems that fit their unique needs, whether that’s mental health support, lactation care, parenting resources, loss support, or other local services. Building strong relationships within the community allows me to better guide and connect families with the people and resources that can continue supporting them long after birth..
What is your philosophy of doula care?
My philosophy of doula care is centered on compassionate, judgment-free support that honors each person’s choices, voice, and unique journey. I believe pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are deeply personal experiences, and every family deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and empowered every step of the way.
As a doula, my role is to provide emotional, physical, and educational support during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. I strive to create a calm, reassuring presence while helping clients feel informed and confident in the decisions that are best for themselves and their baby.
I am committed to advocating for my clients through open communication and support within medical spaces, helping ensure that your needs, preferences, and birth goals are understood and thoughtfully considered. My goal is to help families experience birth as a safe, supported, memorable, and empowering transition into parenthood.
Who is your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who wants to feel supported, informed, and truly cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I love working with people who value open communication and see birth as a collaborative experience — people who want a steady presence beside them to offer encouragement, information, advocacy, and reassurance along the way. It’s incredibly important to me that every person I work with feels welcomed, respected, and safe with me, regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. Through my journey as a Doula I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients from many different backgrounds, family structures, and birth preferences, and those experiences have taught me how important flexibility and genuine connection are in this work. I’ve found that clients who trust their Doula often feel more grounded and confident in their birth experience, which helps create a more supportive environment for everyone involved. And just as importantly, I believe the relationship between a doula and client really matters. Birth is deeply personal and vulnerable, and we’ll be sharing intimate moments together. I want us to feel comfortable with one another, able to communicate openly and honestly, and connected in a way that helps you feel fully supported every step of the way.
