Biography:
Hello everyone! , I’m Agustina Vargas; an entrepreneur, doula, and proud mom based in Massachusetts. I’m passionate about helping others, bringing people together, and building meaningful connections. As a humanitarian and natural networker, I love creating spaces where people feel supported, seen, and inspired to grow. I live by the motto: “Keep Going, Keep Growing.” ✨
Why did you become a doula?
I became a doula because, honestly, going through my own journey into motherhood changed me. It made me realize how important it is to feel supported, understood, and not alone during those moments. I’ve always naturally been someone people come to for comfort and advice, so it just felt right to step into this role. I wanted to be that person for other women; the one who shows up, listens, and reminds them of their strength when they might forget it themselves. ✨
What is your personal connection to birth/family/community?
My connection to birth, family, and community is really personal to me. Becoming a mom changed everything and showed me how important love and support really are. Postpartum was hard for me, it felt like doom and gloom, like I wasn’t going to get out of that space. But things started to shift when I had people around me, when I felt supported and not alone.
That’s actually where my networking skills came in ; believe it or not, it started with putting my kids’ birthdays together. Through that, I learned so much about who I am and what I love to do. I started building my own village, and it reminded me how powerful community really is.
To me, family doesn’t just mean the people you’re related to. Some of the people I call family today were once strangers. Now they’re part of my everyday life, we cry together, we grow together, we share beautiful moments, and I feel truly loved and supported. Family can start with your village, not just the one you were born into.
That’s why I do what I do; it just feels like a part of who I am. ✨
What is your philosophy of doula care?
My philosophy as a doula is to truly care for the mom and making sure she feels safe, comfortable, and supported so she can bring her baby into a peaceful environment. I believe in honoring her wishes and being there for her every step of the way. It’s really about creating a space where she feels calm, confident, and able to trust herself.
Who is your ideal client?
My ideal client is any mom—whether it’s her first time, she’s experienced, or she’s choosing a different path for her journey. I’m here to support her no matter what that looks like. Every experience is different, and I just want her to feel safe, heard, and supported through it all—while reminding her that she’s powerful, capable, and can trust herself I’m here for support!
