Biography:
I am a proud Latina, mother, and social worker with a heart for supporting women through transformative life moments.
I come from a background in community- centered and mental health care, I understand how important it is to feel seen, heard, and culturally understood during pregnancy and birth.
Why did you become a doula?:
My passion for birth work comes from deep respect for women and the strength they carry through pregnancy and labor. I also want to advocate and empower women with clear and compassionate support .
What is your personal connection to birth/family/community?:
I have a background in community centered mental health care where I work with families to coordinate therapeutic care to mother and child who struggle with mental health diagnosis.
What is your philosophy of doula care?:
My philosophy of doula care is centered on dignity, cultural awareness and empowerment. Birth is a transformative experience and I believe doula work is not to lead but walk alongside providing safety, consistency, support, clear information and reassurance that will make moms feel confident and supported in their decision.
Who is your ideal client?:
My ideal client are women who are first time mothers who may feel uncertain and struggle with mental health and/or who have felt discriminated against during medical care.
