Workshops Informal Education: High Risk Maternity Nurse Coordinator for 3 years- I work closely with the high risk prenatal patients of Lawrence Massachusetts. I feel very comfortable with low risk and high risk pregnancy, along with loss and bereavement care.

Biography:

I am a registered nurse and a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). I work as a high risk maternity nurse at Greater Lawrence family health center. I am a mom with positive natural birth experience. I speak English and Spanish.

Why did you become a doula?:

I became a Doula to support mothers completely from prenatal to postpartum. I thoroughly enjoy giving lactation education to mothers who need the help.

What is your personal connection to birth/family/community?:

I was born of Dominican parents, raised in the community. I continue to work in the community and love to provide education and teaching to anyone who thirst for it.

What is your philosophy of doula care?:

My philosophy is mother first, I will support the mother to make informed decision in her car throughout the pregnancy and postpartum. I love to focus on wellness and holistic care.

My ideal client is an engaged client who is in need of support and education. Also any client with lactation concerns.
