Biography:

I am a compassionate doula with a strong background in healthcare interpreting, where I supported individuals and families across different cultures and languages during important moments in their care. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how culture, language, and communication shape the way people experience support and connection.

I have also worked with elderly individuals in nursing homes and supported people living with mental illness in the community, which has strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to provide respectful, person-centered care.

With a foundation in customer service and caregiving, I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported—especially in ways that honor your cultural values and language needs. It is an honor to walk alongside you during this important time.

Why did you become a doula?

I became a doula after a life-changing experience as a teenager, when I supported my mom during the birth of my little sister. Being in the labor and delivery room with her showed me how important it is to have someone by your side who truly supports and understands you.

Her journey inspired me to help others navigate both pregnancy and the healthcare system with confidence, compassion, and culturally sensitive care. I’m honored to support families so they feel heard, respected, and never alone.

What is your personal connection to birth/family/community?

My connection to birth, family, and community is both deeply personal and shaped by my life experiences. As a mother of three children, I understand firsthand the physical, emotional, and transformative journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Motherhood has strengthened my compassion and deepened my commitment to supporting others during this important time.

My connection to birth began even earlier, when I was a teenager supporting my mom during the birth of my little sister. Being present in that moment showed me the power of support, family, and community, and how meaningful it is to not go through it alone.

Through my work as a healthcare interpreter and supporting individuals in nursing homes and in the mental health community, I’ve also seen how essential connection and care are across all stages of life. These experiences have shaped my belief that birth is not just a medical event—it’s a deeply human experience rooted in family, culture, and community.

I carry all of this with me in my work, offering support that is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a true sense of connection.

What is your philosophy of doula care?

My philosophy as a doula is rooted in compassion, respect, and cultural understanding. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their pregnancy and birth journey. Care is not one-size-fits-all—each experience is shaped by culture, language, personal values, and lived experiences, and I honor that fully in the way I show up for my clients.

With my background in healthcare interpreting and working with diverse communities, I understand how important clear communication and advocacy are. I strive to bridge gaps in the healthcare system so my clients feel informed, confident, and able to make the choices that are right for them.

I also believe in meeting people where they are—emotionally, mentally, and physically. Whether someone needs reassurance, guidance, or simply a calm and supportive presence, I am there without judgment.

At the heart of my work is the belief that no one should go through this journey alone. My role is to walk alongside you, honor your voice, and provide care that truly sees and supports you.

Who is your ideal client?

My ideal clients are individuals and families who value compassionate, culturally sensitive support throughout their pregnancy journey. I especially connect with those from diverse language and cultural backgrounds, as well as anyone who may feel overwhelmed or unheard in the healthcare system.

I’m here for people who want to feel truly seen, understood, and supported—those who are looking for guidance, advocacy, and a calm, caring presence every step of the way.
