Biography:
I am a mom of 3 adulting children! A dog mom, and a partner in crime to my fiance! I love the outdoors, music and a laugh until I cry kinda girl. I show up with compassion and integrity with all in my life and believe in service. Lastly, I am a RN who has spent 23 years in emergency medicine and 2 years in the NICU.
Why did you become a doula?:
I believe the birthing process should be a collage. From conception through time it goes by in a blink of eye and my hope as a doula is to make these moments even more memorable, supported and heard.
What is your personal connection to birth/family/community?:
I work in the Special Care unit at Merrimack Health serving our community of the Merrimack Valley. I am committed to improving maternal child health care one family at a time!
What is your philosophy of doula care?:
I believe that the birthing process is trauma; good, bad and indifferent and I know that my years in emergency care has reminded me even in the hard moments of birthing it’s still trauma and deserves the same type of care, one rooted in empathy, listening and compassion. Every plan deserves options and my hopes is that we plan for the what if’s and have

I am looking to work with families that are open to education and support. Every situation is unique and I will support any family where they are at!
